Professional Bio 

Vishav Vir is an industrial engineer turned development economist. He has ten years of experience across the Public Sector, Non-Profit Consulting and World Bank in domains such as Power, Renewable Energy, Social Enterprise, and Agriculture. Currently, he is working with Climate Bonds Initiative to help accelerate climate finance for India’s decarbonization.



He is passionate about sustainable development and determined to make an impact at the intersection of climate change, sustainable finance and data-driven public policy. He has experience in project management, policy research and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building.



He has been selected among the 40 Tech4Impact fellows by EPFL, Switzerland, from across the world to develop innovative and sustainable solutions addressing core societal challenges in the Global South. He has created a business solution for implementing efficient renewable energy systems for humanitarian organizations operating in refugee camps.



He holds a postgraduate in Development Studies with a specialization in Applied Development Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. He is an avid birder and loves exploring nature
