Sofia Borges

Sofia is the Agriculture Programme Analyst at Climate Bonds Initiative and is responsible for the support of green bond market for sustainable agriculture development in the LatAm region. Sofia graduated from FGV - EAESP in Business Management with a focus on sustainability and started her career as a sustainable finance researcher. She worked as a consultant for the Brazilian Stock Exchange – B3, investment portfolio managers and banks in the topics of ESG integration, deforestation risks, biodiversity, and land use management. Sofia joined the Climate Bonds in August 2022, after working as green finance analyst for WWF at the Dutch Fund for Climat e and Development (DFCD), an investment consortium managed by FMO and Climate Fund Managers, where she advised the Origination Facility for land use and agriculture projects in Latin America and the Caribbean
