Andrea Barrenechea

Andrea is LAC Programme Analyst for the Climate Bonds Initiative’s LAC team and is based in Mexico City. She supports Climate Bonds Initiative’s Latin American team in diverse projects and mainly assist the delivery of key objectives for the development of the sustainable debt market in the region. Additionally, she supports the execution of projects related to capacity building and technical assistance.



Andrea has a bachelor´s degree on International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, partly studied at Université Catholique de Lille in France.



Prior to CBI, Andrea Work as a Policy Advisor at the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the United Nations in New York and focused on the climate change, biodiversity, sustainable housing, and emerging technology issues.
