Phi Thi Minh Nguyet (Moonie)

Phi Thi Minh Nguyet (or Moonie Phi) is currently a Research Analyst with the ASEAN team. She joined Climate Bonds Initiative in September 2019 after 8 years working in the banking and financial sector in Vietnam. Her current role includes research and report writing, stakeholder engagement and market development, with a special focus on the Vietnamese market.

Moonie completed her Master in Banking and Finance at Sheffield Hallam University, UK, and her undergraduate studies at Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. Before devoting her work full-time to Climate Bonds Initiative, Moonie served as a Corporate Client Relationship officer at JSC Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam – the biggest state-owned bank in Vietnam (based on total assets) and a lecturer and researcher at the Academy of Finance, Vietnam. She also has had a number of papers accepted for publications in indexed international journals. She is passionate about sustainable development and green finance, which brought her to Climate Bonds Initiative.

Moonie is based in Hanoi, Vietnam.
