Professional Bio 

Ben is a research assistant for the CEO's office.



He has over five years’ experience working in environmental NGO’s, sustainability consultancy, climate policy research, and academia. His work with Warmheart Worldwide developed an ecologically and economically sustainable framework for rural farmers in northern Thailand, focusing on their Biochar program. He has also worked in multiple areas of climate policy, co-authoring climate plans for UK councils and authoring Apolitical’s climate policy training resources. Prior to CBI, he was an academic researcher at the Countryside and Culture Research Institute.



Ben also writes extensively for the PostCarbon institute, focusing on the polycrisis, and how climate and ecological changes manifest in social, political, and economic systems.



He has an BSc in Geology from Plymouth University, and an MSc in Sustainability, Planning, and Environmental Policy from Cardiff University.
