The Climate Bonds Standard and Certification Scheme is a labelling scheme for Entities, Assets and Debt Instruments. Rigorous scientific criteria ensure that Certified investments in climate mitigation are consistent with the 1.5oC warming limit in the Paris Agreement. The Scheme is used globally by bond issuers, governments, investors and the financial markets to prioritise investments which genuinely contribute to addressing climate change.
Climate Bond Standard May 2015 revisions include adding criteria for a new asset class - Bus Rapid Transit Systems - to Part B of the Climate Bonds Standard.
There were not any changes made to the remaining clauses of the Climate Bonds Standard.
An update to the Standard including the Low Carbon Buildings criteria to Part B is coming soon.
