Senior Advisor
Ujala Qadir is a sustainability strategist with extensive experience in climate finance, policy development, and program design. As Director of Strategy at the Climate Bonds Initiative, she led the organization’s strategic direction across key areas including transitions, resilience, sustainable finance taxonomies, and the integration of SDGs into investment frameworks.
 
During her tenure, Ujala played a critical role in driving coherence across global teams, aligning programmatic and operational functions, and securing philanthropic and institutional funding. She also helped shape science-based standards that guide capital toward climate-aligned investments, convening multi-stakeholder working groups across sectors and geographies.
 
Prior to this role, Ujala served as Climate Standards Manager at Climate Bonds, where she managed a team of analysts and consultants to expand the scope of the Climate Bonds Standard. Her leadership has been instrumental in the evolution of credible, high-integrity sustainable finance systems globally.

Zixi Jin

Senior Analyst

Zixi Jin is a Senior Analyst at Climate Bonds Initiative, focusing on transition finance research. She specializes in advancing transition finance policies and mobilizing financial instruments to drive the decarbonization of high-emission industries, promoting sustainable development.

 

Prior to joining CBI, Zixi served as the Deputy Director of the Energy Finance Research Center at the International Institute of Green Finance, Central University of Finance and Economics. She conducted extensive research on green finance, transition finance, energy policies, and financial markets.



Zixi holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Resources and Environment from Zhejiang University.

Ina Hoxha

With over 18 years of experience in impact investing and climate finance, Ina has previously led clean energy and water teams at IFU, the Danish Development Finance Institution. With a strong background in designing, executing, and managing blended finance solutions that leverage private capital and create positive climate, social and environmental outcomes in emerging markets. Ina's strengths lie in knowing and understanding many of the interconnected pieces in impact investing (regulatory/policy, contractual, and financial) along with deep investment expertise across instruments: equity, debt, guarantees and blended finance, and across project life cycles: project development, structuring, investment approvals, board work and exits.

A member of the independent Technical Advisory Panel (iTAP) of the Green Climate Fund, the world's largest climate dedicated fund and a board member of several emerging market companies and funds including Daystar Power in West Africa, Bright Inc in Mexico, Africa Greenco in Zambia/ Southern Africa, Blue Planet Waste management in India and Frontier Carbon and Energy fund in East Africa.

Yumiko Watanabe

Japan Programme Lead

Yumiko Watanabe is the Japan Programme Lead at the Climate Bonds Initiative, an international NGO dedicated to mobilizing global capital for climate action. With over 20 years of experience in the finance sector, Yumiko has a specialized focus on fixed income and bond structuring. Her career also spans the public sector, where she has played a key role in bridging financial policy between Japan and the UK. 

Yumiko joined the Climate Bonds Initiative in November 2024, where she now leads the organization's efforts in Japan. She holds a degree in Law from Kyoto University
