Zhan Gao close Taxonomy Analyst Zhan joined CBI in May 2023 and worked as a Sustainable Debt Analyst within the Market Intelligence and Data Products team. He has contributed to CBI’s Green, Social, and Sustainability (GSS+) Bond Dataset through having scrutinised over $200 billion worth of sustainable debt from corporate, sovereign, and supranational issuers. He also co-authored CBI’s flagship “State of the Market” 2023 report for both China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.He now works as a Taxonomy Analyst and is taking part in the consultation of relevant stakeholders and the research necessary to help countries materialise their national green finance taxonomies.Zhan holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Nottingham and a MSc in Environmental Technology with a specialisation in energy technologies and policy from Imperial College London, as well as a certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.He speaks Mandarin Chinese and English, and is progressing towards acquiring C1 level in French. Bláthnaid Byrne close Director of Global Strategic EngagementBláthnaid has extensive experience leading corporate treasury teams across several industries, including the largest energy generator in Australia during which time she completed the first Sustainability Linked Loan in Asia Pacific for that sector. In 2021 she became Director of Sustainable Finance & ESG at Australia’s largest bank where she helped clients structure and execute sustainable finance transactions across the bond, loan and derivatives markets. Having always felt a deep appreciation for the environment and animal welfare, she became a Governor with WWF Australia in 2017 and spent 5 years as Treasurer for the IUCN Australian committee. In 2023 she was recognised as one of the 50 most influential corporate ESG Leaders in Australia by FS Sustainability.She holds a Degree in International Business & Languages, an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting with CIMA, the AMCT Diploma in Treasury from the ACT and recently completed the Certificate in Sustainable Business at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
Aradhana Jayaram close Capacity Building CoordinatorAradhana supports the effective implementation of training deliverables at Climate Bonds Initiative, managing project coordination and stakeholder relationships across global markets. With a Master's in Global Strategy and Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh and over 4.5 years of experience in business development and project management, she brings a blend of commercial acumen and sustainability knowledge to the training and capacity building team. Prior to joining Climate Bonds Initiative, Aradhana worked in the climate education sector and held positions at prominent organizations including Zomato, where she managed large-scale accounts and led cross-functional projects. Based in Mumbai, India, Aradhana is keen on building on her experience and learnings to accelerate the growth of climate finance markets and drive industry transformation towards a more sustainable future.
