Mark Burrows, Credit Suisse MD & Vice Chair, Global Investment Banking and doyen of Australian finance, joins as Climate Bonds senior advisor

High profile Australian & international finance executive Mark Burrows has taken up the newly created honorary role as Senior Adviser to the London based Climate Bonds Initiative.

Mark Burrows is currently Credit Suisse Managing Director and Vice Chairman, Global Investment Banking. For the past few years he has been working on sustainable development with global financial institutions and is a Special Advisor to the UNEP Finance Initiative.

India’s securities’ regulator finalises official green bond listing requirements + says green bonds are a tool to finance India’s INDC (national climate change plan) - yes they are!

Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the securities’ markets regulator, finalised their official green bond requirements yesterday after going through a public consultation in December. Impressively quick turnaround from SEBI’s decision in late November to establish requirements!

On 3 February 2016 the Climate Bonds Initiative will announce the 2015 Green Bond Pioneer Awards, kindly hosted by the London Stock Exchange (and its green bond listing).
