ABN AMRO

 

ABN AMRO was the first bank in Europe to issue a Certified Climate Bond. The bond proceeds will be used to finance loans related to residential and commercial buildings that meet certain energy efficieny or low carbon criteria

In April 2018, they were the first issuer of a Certified Climate Bond that uses the new Marine Renewable Energy criteria. This bond supports 4 offshore wind farms in the North Sea.
