Shilpi has over 17+ years of experience in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking and Impact Investing across foreign banks, private and public sector institutions like ABN Amro, IndusInd Bank and SBI Capital Markets Limited in specialized areas like Project Advisory, Infrastructure Finance, Structured Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions and Resolution Advisory.

She brings with her strong lender & client relationships and in-depth advisory & debt-raising capabilities in Indian markets. She has also been instrumental in working out risk sharing structures with DFIs, Multilateral Institutions to mobilize risk capital in impact sectors. At Climate Bonds, she is working on developing & deepening the markets to support climate finance in South Asia.

She is a graduate in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance) from SPJIMR, Mumbai.

Shagun Damani

Shagun Damani is an MBA candidate at London Business School with nearly four years of experience in social impact consulting. Most recently, she worked at Dalberg Advisors, contributing to global projects across sectors such as climate, health, education, and employment.

Her work has included a focus on innovative finance, including projects with global organizations like the UN Green Climate Fund, where she helped develop their local currency funding strategy, and FMO (the Dutch Development Bank), where she assessed the success and key enablers or barriers in their progression model from concessional to commercial funding.



At London Business School, Shagun serves as the President of the Social Impact Club and is an investment team member of the Social Impact and Investing Fund (SIIF).



Born and raised in Mumbai, she is deeply interested in how private capital can enable and accelerate climate transition in emerging economies.

Xiaoyan Shen

Senior Communications & Marketing Specialist

Xiaoyan Shen is the Senior Communications and Marketing Specialist for the China market at Climate Bonds, based in Shanghai. She oversees the China communications strategy and leads both strategic planning and day-to-day delivery across campaigns and projects. Prior to joining CBI, she worked as a Project Manager at Caixin Global.



Xiaoyan holds a master’s degree from the Shanghai International Studies University and a bachelor’s degree from Sun Yat-sen University.

Ujala Qadir

Ujala Qadir is a sustainability strategist with extensive experience in climate finance, policy development, and program design. As Director of Strategy at the Climate Bonds Initiative, she led the organization’s strategic direction across key areas including transitions, resilience, sustainable finance taxonomies, and the integration of SDGs into investment frameworks.
 
During her tenure, Ujala played a critical role in driving coherence across global teams, aligning programmatic and operational functions, and securing philanthropic and institutional funding. She also helped shape science-based standards that guide capital toward climate-aligned investments, convening multi-stakeholder working groups across sectors and geographies.
 
Prior to this role, Ujala served as Climate Standards Manager at Climate Bonds, where she managed a team of analysts and consultants to expand the scope of the Climate Bonds Standard. Her leadership has been instrumental in the evolution of credible, high-integrity sustainable finance systems globally.
