Professional Bio 

Mei is a Policy Analyst at CBI, whose main responsibility is to monitor and analyze key policy initiatives on transition with a focus on Japan but potentially including EU, US, China, and Latin America. Before that, she has been working for a second party opinion provider for more than 4 years, where she has gained extensive work experience as an external reviewer from the early days of the Green, Social, Sustainability and Sustainability-linked Finances in Japan. Having offered assessments or opinions for the issuers, such as the government ordinance-designed major cities (i.e. Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Kobe, etc.) and the Prime Market listed companies in key sectors (i.e. Energy, Buildings, etc.).

 

Good at reasonable and objective approach through data analysis with the academic background of Statistics and Economics. More than 16 years of experience in finance at one of the largest insurance companies in Japan, where she built her career foundation through the jobs as an economist and a credit analyst. A chartered member of the security analysis association of Japan. She has a Master of Economics in Hitotsubashi University.
