Expansion of the Climate Bonds Standard into Sustainable Agriculture
Twin Webinars outlining the Criteria. Your chance to make comments and ask questions.
Public Consultation till March 31st
Climate Bonds opened public consultation on the proposed Agriculture Criteria on January 31st 2020.
The proposed Criteria will provide guidance for green investment in sustainable agricultural activities.
Like other Sector Criteria under the Climate Bonds Standard, the goal in Agriculture is to establish a science-based and verifiable screening process for both issuers and investors to assess the climate and environmental benefits of agriculture investments.
The ultimate objective is to catalyse increased public and private investment, in agriculture-based climate mitigation, adaptation and resilience interventions.
We welcome comments on the Criteria until 31st March 2020.
Twin Webinars
As part of the public consultation, the CBI Standards team and the Lead Technical Consultant for the Agriculture Criteria and TWG member Lini Wollenberg from CGIAR will host two webinars during this public comment period.
The webinars will give a chance for members of the public to receive an overview of the Criteria itself and to ask any questions that they may have.
The Webinars will take place at the following times via Zoom:
