08/07/2024 10:00 New York/ 15:00 London: Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) today announced that former DBS Head of Sustainability for Corporate Banking Yulanda Chung was joining as a Trustee, effective immediately.
CBI Chair Doris Honold said “Yulanda Chung has been a long-time leader in sustainable banking, with 15 years of senior experience at DBS and before that at Standard Chartered. She is incredibly committed to our mission of mobilizing capital for climate action; we are excited to have her join us.”
Ms Chung joined DBS, the largest bank (by assets) in ASEAN, in 2017. She recently retired from the bank to pursue climate finance projects, supporting the Climate Vulnerable Forum, a partnership of countries highly vulnerable to a warming planet.
Ms Chung said: “It was once considered improbable to mobilize capital markets to support mitigation and adaptation solutions. CBI has proved that wrong. Looking forward to working with the team to make mainstream finance sustainable."
