Vienna/London, 12/10/2023 17:00 CEST— Climate Bonds Initiative is pleased to announce that Concordiste Strategic Consulting has become an approved verifier under the Climate Bonds Standard. The Global Climate Bonds Standard that is in line with EU Taxonomy, will help Concordiste’s new status as an Approved Verifier in driving green finance initiatives not only in the home country of Austria but also throughout the wider European region.
Concordiste, headquartered in Vienna, Austria, is a leading firm in sustainable finance consulting, strategy, and organisational development. The firm has a notable presence across emerging markets in Europe and Central Asia, providing high-quality, tailored solutions in a competitive industry landscape. Concordiste’s focus on green, social, and sustainability-linked bonds has made them a key partner to international financial institutions and corporate clients.
In a statement about the achievement, Honorata Fijalka, CEO and founder of Concordiste remarked, "Joining the ranks of approved verifiers is not just an accolade for Concordiste; it’s a testament to our unwavering commitment to facilitating a greener, more sustainable future. Together with the Climate Bonds Initiative, we aim to elevate standards and inspire confidence in green investments."
“We are thrilled to welcome Concordiste as an approved verifier under our globally-recognised Climate Bonds Standard. The European Union is currently the world’s largest market for green finance. For Concordiste, this accreditation not only symbolises a commitment to rigorous, internationally-accepted standards but also opens up significant opportunities for furthering green finance initiatives in Austria and the wider region," said Sean Kidney, CEO of Climate Bonds Initiative.
With this new accreditation, Concordiste is poised to significantly contribute to the growth and integrity of the burgeoning green bonds market in Austria and the European Union.
