About the Climate Bonds Initiative
Climate Bonds Initiative is an investor-focused NGO working to mobilise the $100 trillion global bond market for climate change solutions. We promote investment in projects and assets necessary for a rapid transition to a low carbon and climate resilient economy.
Our main work streams are green bond standards and certification, data and market analysis, policy and market development, communications and advocacy.

The Role
CBI is undertaking a significant “Transitions Project” which will underpin the strategic delivery of the organizations’s green agenda for the next few years. It represents a significant collaboration of internal and external agents to achieve a greater impact. The value of the programme project will be between £3-8M over 3 years, depending on the level of funding secured.
Our Projects and Programmes Office urgently requires a talented, skilled and experienced Project Manager to support the Project Director in delivering this programme.
For the management of this project, CBI will likely be implementing a new project management software and this individual, ideally, should be able to contribute to ensure that the functionality is delivered.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional project teams
- Monitor progress of projects
- Ensure that the objectives are met
- Adhere to the requirements of the financing entity and present adjustments
- Risk management
- Support implementation of project management software
- Oversee restricted fund accounting and deferred income
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Experience in project delivery cycle - planning, resourcing, costing and managing proposal and project components
- Experience in modern project management software e.g. Asana
- Literate in Office software, especially Excel
- Passionate about international climate change solutions,
- With a track record of delivering complex projects to time, cost and effectiveness.
- Organised, persevering, methodical
- Eye for detail and a good communicator
- A team player who can also work independently when situations require
- Familiar with aspects of time and cost allocation
- Familiar with accounting concepts of restricted funds and deferred income
Desirable:
- Interest in climate change solutions
- Interest in Paris Climate goals
