Canberra's light rail system was launched in 2019. It currently has 13 stations and one line of 12 km long. The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) has a 100% renewables electricity grid and a net zero emissions target for 2045.
This is the first green loan in Australia related to a Private Public Partnership (PPP). It is jointly supported by ANZ and CBA, two banks in Australia. The loan will be used for refinancing the development of this line.
