India’s sustainable finance market is entering a definitive phase. Cumulative green, social, sustainability, and sustainability-linked (GSS+) issuances surpassed USD60bn at the end of December 2025, signalling a market that has moved beyond early adoption and revealing considerable room for growth. Drawing on insights from 60 investors managing approximately USD26tn in overall assets under management, out of which approximately USD12tn is in debt investments, the survey highlights some key shifts shaping the next phase of sustainable finance in India.
