Data
We've enhanced access to our sustainable finance data. With our new website, data is now available through two key channels: Network Membership, offering exclusive access at reduced fees for members, NGOs, policymakers, and academic institutions, and Market Intelligence Subscription Services. While some data visualisations remain on our website, more detailed insights are now accessible through these structured services. These updates ensure we continue to provide high-quality data while supporting the long-term growth of the green finance market.
Newsmakers
Newsmakers list
Each week, the Market Intelligence team screens all new labelled global bond issuances for alignment with the Climate Bonds methodologies. Many of these issues are standard financing, from organisations looking to raise money for important sustainable finance objectives. Also, among these issues are bonds from large, well-known companies and in some cases not so not-so-well-known. To create the list of issuance from the well-known companies, the Newsmakers List membership will be drawn from open-source business notoriety lists. Initially, these lists will come from Wikipedia, using the following groupings: most valuable brands, Fortune 500, most indebted companies, largest family businesses, largest private non-governmental companies, unicorn start-ups and largest technology companies. Over time we will explore other lists for additions, or replacements to add to the Newsmakers List.
The issues from these various organisations will be aligned with our Green Bond and Social and Sustainability Dataset Methodologies, with the acquisition of the contents described in more detail in the Newsmakers List methodology here. If you would like more information on the creation of the list and its contents, please contact us.
