Climate Bonds Resilience Taxonomy

Adaptation and Resilience Finance

Climate resilience is a critical focus in our mission to mobilise global capital for climate action.

Integrating resilience into our work helps ensure economic, social, and ecological systems are better equipped to withstand the impacts of climate change.

Resilience as a cross-cutting theme

Resilience is embedded throughout our activities, from taxonomy development to sector criteria, enabling the identification and financing of investments that contribute to adaptation and climate resilience.

Climate Bonds Resilience Taxonomy

A cornerstone of our resilience work is the Climate Bonds Resilience Taxonomy, designed to provide clear guidance on what constitutes a resilient investment. By defining credible and impactful projects, our updated Taxonomy ensures that resilience considerations are integrated into the broader sustainable finance market.

The development of the Climate Bonds Resilience Taxonomy is being sponsored by Co-operators and supported by Cadlas, Lead Technical Partner of the Climate Bonds Resilience Programme.

The Resilience Criteria is now available under Climate Bonds Standard v4.3. It offers issuers a clear route to Certification for projects and assets that integrate Adaptation and Resilience (A&R) into their design and operations.

Now, finance can support projects that adapt to and withstand climate impacts as well as cutting emissions.
