Tallat Hussain

Tallat is a specialist lawyer in the cross-cutting global environmental, social and governance (ESG) practice at Reed Smith LLP. She has advised clients on environmental, health & safety and human rights requirements in the context of M&A, PE and insolvency, capital markets (green loans and bonds, ESG and sustainability linked loans, etc.) and carbon trading in the regulated and voluntary carbon markets.

Tallat has over 20 years of experience in environmental and social permitting and regulatory compliance in various jurisdictions, including UK and EU on ESG-related regulations and guidelines (CSRD, CSDDD, EUDR, Methane, UK ETS/EU ETS). Her extensive experience includes international standards, guidelines such as OECD Common Approaches and IFC Performance Standards, Paris Agreement and the UN SDGs.
