Susan Barrett

Sue is an infrastructure and climate finance specialist with more than 30 years’ experience driving investment at scale in sustainable infrastructure across developing markets in Central and South-Eastern Europe, Turkiye, Africa and the Middle East.  Formerly the Director for Infrastructure, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, she has worked extensively with both public and private sector stakeholders to deliver a wide range of impactful financing solutions for sustainable infrastructure projects and programmes aligned with best practice international Environmental, Social and Governance standards.  Her experience also includes extensive policy dialogue on sector reform and green transition at both the state and city levels.  Sue currently serves as an Advisory Board Member at Acre Impact Capital, supporting the advancement of sustainable and climate-focused investments across Sub-Saharan Africa.
