Solar financier Big60Million Ltd today announced that the first Certified Climate Bond in the UK, a “mini bond” of £4 million, was in the market. The bond closes 30 September; they expect to issue further tranches in the near future.
The Solar Technical Working Group under the Climate Bond Standard and Certification Scheme have today published criteria for solar assets for bond certification.
Germany’s MBB Clean Energy AG last week raised a 6 year, €72 million ($94.6m), saying it would invest the proceeds in 1,500 MW of existing wind and solar power plants. Coupon was 6.25%. The bond will be listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Bookrunner was Donner & Reuschel AG.
