Beijing, 14 July 2026, 9am – Climate Bonds Initiative is pleased to announce the renewal of the Approved Verifier status of China Chengxin Group (CCX Group) under the Climate Bonds Standard and Certification Scheme. Verifiers are independent third-party assurance providers approved by the Climate Bonds Standard Board to issue verification for Certification applications.

Under the renewed arrangement, the approval has been expanded to include both China Chengxin Green Finance Technology (Beijing) Ltd. (CCXGF) and CCX Green Finance International Ltd. (CCXGFI), further strengthening their ability to support issuers seeking Climate Bonds Certification.

The approval covers Use of Proceeds and Asset Certification for eligible activities in China, providing issuers with access to independent verification services that support alignment with the science-based requirements of the Climate Bonds Standard.

CCXGF is a subsidiary of China Chengxin International Credit Rating Co., Ltd. (CCXI), one of the largest credit rating agencies in China. Since its establishment, CCXGF has maintained a leading position in China's green finance market, providing professional and independent third-party green bond assessment and certification services. It was also among the first service providers in China to develop green bond certification methodologies, contributing to the evolution of the country's sustainable finance ecosystem.

Wenhong Xie, Head of the China Programme at Climate Bonds Initiative, said:

"China has become one of the world's most influential sustainable finance markets, continuously raising the bar for innovation and scale. The renewal and expansion of CCX’s Approved Verifier status is another important step in strengthening market integrity and enabling issuers to access credible, science-based Certification. As demand for high-quality green and transition finance continues to grow, trusted local verification capacity will be increasingly critical to directing capital towards China's climate transition."

Dongyang Xue, Executive Vice President of CCXI and President of CCXGF, said:

"We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Climate Bonds through the renewed Approved Verifier status. We believe independent, high-quality external review is fundamental to the healthy development of sustainable finance markets.
