Webinar: Shipping Sector Criteria

Global shipping accounts for a very large portion of global trade (90%). The sector is responsible for approximately 2-3% of global GHG emissions. The Third International Maritime Organisation (IMO)'s GHG Study estimated that for the period 2007-2012, shipping emitted about 1,000 Mt CO2 per year, equaling approximately 3.1% of annual global CO2 emissions. It’s about time that Sector Criteria is available for these assets to determine whether a bond or debt instrument is financing a Paris Agreement aligned ship.
