From Risk to Opportunity: Decoding Investment Opportunities in the Agri-Food Value Chain Transition

The agri-food sector is central to climate action, responsible for over a third of global emissions while facing severe climate risks. Achieving transition requires mobilising the entire supply chain, where over 90% of emissions reside, and scaling finance for bankable projects.

Co-hosted by WAFI (World Agrifood Innovation Conference) and CBI, this forum convenes industry, finance and experts to bridge this gap. The conversation will focus on identifying investable models and projects across the supply chain, from farming to logistics, that boost resilience, reduce emissions like methane, and unlock capital. The goal is to accelerate collaborative, actionable steps toward a sustainable agri-food future.

农业食品部门是全球气候行动的核心领域之一，其排放量占全球温室气体排放的三分之一以上，同时也是受气候变化冲击最为直接、风险最为集中的经济部门之一。推动农食系统转型，关键在于激活覆盖“从农田到餐桌”的全价值链。对大多数农食企业而言，价值链上下游产生的间接排放往往占其总排放的90%以上，只有将气候目标转化为具备可投资性的项目和商业机会，转型才能实现规模化落地。

本次论坛由WAFI（世界农业科技创新大会）与CBI共同主办，汇聚农食产业、金融机构与领域专家，基于价值链的整体视角，探讨系统性转型路径，重点识别具有规模化潜力的可融资项目和商业模式。活动将聚焦农业低碳转型的关键议题，如气候韧性、可融资性、金融支持和部门协同等，同时特别关注甲烷减排这一具备显著成本效益的短期杠杆，推动农食系统向气候智慧型未来迈进。
