Sofía Rodríguez Alonso is a sustainability and finance professional with a strong background in corporate banking and a growing specialization in sustainable finance taxonomies. She holds an MSc in Sustainable Finance and Accounting from the University of Sussex, where she focused on climate finance, sustainability reporting, and ESG frameworks such as the GHG Protocol and CSRD. Sofía is certified in Sustainable Finance Taxonomies by GIZ and has completed additional training in corporate sustainability disclosures.

Prior to transitioning into the sustainability sector, Sofía spent several years at Santander Bank, managing a portfolio of over 150 corporate clients and providing strategic financial advisory. She has experience in credit analysis, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement across both the private and public sectors, including placements with the Government of Tlajomulco and Deloitte.

With international academic and work experience in the UK, Mexico, and Canada, Sofía brings a multicultural perspective to her work, alongside strong analytical and communication skills in both English and Spanish. She is passionate about leveraging finance as a tool for positive environmental and social impact.
