Niyathi Singh

Niyathi Singh is a Master in Public Policy student at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She is a PhD in Economics candidate and has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

Before HKS, she served as a G20 Consultant and Nodal Officer for India's G20 Secretariat at the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, where she helped advance climate finance, sustainable development, and multilateral cooperation initiatives during India's G20 Presidency. In the past, she has worked in venture capital, impact investing and has founded an award-winning e-commerce technology start up that aimed to expand market access for thousands of small businesses across the Indian subcontinent.

At HKS, she serves as a Research Assistant to former Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Honourable Chrystia Freeland. She is part of the Harvard Climate Internship Program (HCIP) with the Mossavar-Rahmani Centre for Business & Government (M-RCBG) and has contributed to the Global Empowerment Meeting (GEM) organized by the Centre for International Development (CID). She is also a researcher with the G7 and G20 Research Groups of the Global Governance Program.
