Jake Javier

Jake joined the Climate Bonds in June 2025 bringing invaluable experience in sovereign debt management and sustainable finance. In his ten years working for the Philippine National Government, he had effectively and efficiently structured over $36.5 billion in foreign-currency denominated debt, including the country's maiden and subsequent sustainable bonds of over $7.5 billion. He likewise led the strategy and execution of local-currency debt origination, capital market development and other public finance policy initiatives.

After finishing his Masters of Public Administration degree in Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, where he focused on energy & environment finance and policy, he transitions to more energy-focused finance and policy work working with Climate Bonds as a Senior Research Analyst.
