Ines Emir is a Technical Assistance Senior Analyst at Climate Bonds Initiative and has over six and a half years of experience in sustainable finance policy, regulatory supervision and climate finance research.
Prior to joining Climate Bonds, she worked at the Securities Commission Malaysia, where she focused on international affairs and contributed to regional sustainable finance initiatives under the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum. Notably, she supported the development of the ASEAN Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance, including drafting sectoral criteria and engaging with stakeholders. She also worked in supervision, overseeing capital market intermediaries and strengthening regulatory compliance.
Most recently, Ines was with Climate Policy Initiative, where she contributed to research and analysis on global climate finance flows and investment trends in areas such as renewable energy, methane abatement and financing needs, providing evidence-based insights to inform policy and investment decisions.
She also holds an MSc in Climate Change, Management and Finance from Imperial College London and a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick.
