George is a Resilience Taxonomy Manager at Climate Bonds and is supporting the ongoing development of the Climate Bonds Resilience Taxonomy (CBRT). He is a climate and ESG risk professional with over eight years of experience across financial services and corporate sectors, specialising in climate risk governance, ESG frameworks, and regulatory compliance.

In his previous role at Amazon, he owned the enterprise-wide climate risk & resilience programme, driving methodology, regulatory alignment (including CSRD & ISSB), effective governance and resilience strategy across the business.

Prior to that, George spent six years at NatWest Group, starting within the bank's financial intelligence unit before leading an ESG & reputational risk advisory team, focussing on environmental & social impact assessments, project and trade finance support, and general first-line ESG risk management. Following this, he took a role designing and implementing the bank's climate decisioning framework, covering full client engagement, credit risk, and product proposition integration.

George holds a BA in Russian and Spanish from the University of Nottingham.
