Taxonomy

Chris has deep experience in climate and nature finance across a broad variety of projects, programmes and institutions. This includes technical support for Taxonomy development and sectoral climate standards covering a diverse range of sectors, including Agriculture, Forestry, Cement, Electrical Grids and Transport. Currently, he specialises in Climate Resilience within the context of Taxonomy development.

Prior to his current role, Chris worked as a nature finance consultant specialising in sustainable land use and nature-based solutions (NBS) to climate change. He has worked with both public and private finance institutions, corporate entities, civil society organisations, and practitioners to further climate and biodiversity goals. These projects sought to deliver co-benefits to climate (mitigation and resilience), biodiversity and social goals. Chris has also spent time working at the European Commission in Brussels where he supported the development of policies related to natural resource management and protection.

Chris is based in Londonand is a graduate from Imperial College London specialising in Environmental Resource Management (MSc Environmental Technology), as well as holding a BSc from the University of Nottingham (BSc Environmental Biology). He speaks both English and French.
