- Tomorrow I’m giving a lecture at Yale University on green bonds and climate bonds. If you’re on campus please do join. Klein Geology Lab room 123, on Whitney Ave near Peabody Museum.
- Monday I’m doing the same at the University of Edinburgh in the UK; that’s also open house. Lecture Theatre 4, Business School, University of Edinburgh, 29 Buccleuch Place.
- Friday this week in New York we’re running an invitation-only legal counsel roundtable on the current state of legal practice around green bonds. Moderated by Climate Bonds Senior Fellow Motoko Aizawa and kindly hosted by Shearman & Sterling. Topics: what are the issues in making sure green promises are being fulfilled? Are green assertions vulnerable to legal challenges? If so, what can the legal practitioner do? We’ll publish a report afterwards and do a London version later in the year.
Next will be Climate Bond talks at:
- The Solar Finance Conference in London, 10 March.
- The Kanga Australia Debt Capital Markets Summit, Monday 16 March in Sydney.
- The RBC Capital Markets Green Bond Conference, Tuesday 17 March, Sydney
- The Kanga New Zealand Debt Capital Markets Summit, in Wellington, 19 March
