As a boy who grew up in the South Pacific, the idea of going to meetings in sophisticated Paris still gives me a thrill. So imagine how excited I get when we're hosting an event there - well, to be precise co-hosting, with our friends at KeplerCheuvreux and 2 Degree Investing.

It's on Tuesday 28 January 2014, from 14:00 to 17:45pm. Venue is the 'Auditorium FNCA' at 48-50 Rue de la Boétie, 75008 Paris, France.

It's a star-studded line-up. And it's free - although if we run out of seats priority will be given to asset owners and fund managers.

The first half, 14:00-15:30, is on "New Dynamics for Integrating Sustainability in Fixed Income" (It does sound better in French).

Dominique Dron, Head of France's Inter-ministerial Mission for Financing the Ecological Transition, will talk on Financing the Energy & Ecological Transition.

Then we'll switch to a panel, moderated by Stanislas Dupré of 2 Degree Investing and Stephane Voisin of KeplerCheuvreux:

  • Michel Lepetit and Rodolphe Bocquet, will talk about their offering on "RISK-ERGY: Global Macroeconomic Energy Transition meets Sovereign Credit Rating Evolution".
  • Annette Hauser, ED of Bertelsmann Foundation, will speak about the international Non-Profit Credit Rating Agency (INCRA) - "increasing the transparency and legitimacy of sovereign ratings through an agency that offers a sound governance structure and a methodology that includes forward-looking and macroeconomic indicators”.
  • Florian Sommer, Senior Strategist, Union Investment and Chair of the PRI Sovereign Fixed Income Working Group, will speak on 'The Investor State of the Art in ESG Integration in Fixed Income and the Future Dynamic at the PRI'.
  • Closing remarks will be from Archie Beeching, Fixed Income Manager at PRI, Principles for Responsible Investment.

The second half, 15.45-17.45, is on 'Climate Bonds and Green Bonds".
